Cade Perkins was set on fire for God after he was saved 3 years ago. The flame in his heart to share Jesus was lit and there was no stopping him. Like many believers, Cade realized that overtime, as the busyness of life kicked in with working a full time job, he was starting to just “go through the motions”.

Cade specifically remembers one night where he was sitting on his couch and saw an ad for TOGETHER ‘22. He felt compelled to go, got in his car, and drove 7 hours by himself to the Cotton Bowl Stadium in Dallas, Texas to join hundreds of others at this event. The Lord met Cade at TOGETHER ‘22 - he got baptized and applied for Pulse 100 in hopes of growing in his calling as an evangelist.

Cade thinks back to how he felt when Alex Hunter, Director of Pulse 100 led by Nick Hall, called him to tell him he had been accepted into the program. He remembers his response was: “I have been waiting for this phone call. I’m SO excited.”

Once in the program, Cade could feel the flame that the Lord lit in his heart 3 years ago rekindled. In his words, “everyone he met set him on fire”. During the final retreat of the program at the Pulse headquarters located in Minneapolis, MN, Cade stood up in front of the entire cohort and proclaimed these simple, yet powerful words: “I’m in, man. I’m in. My life is for Jesus”.

Cade, once again, said yes to the call he heard 3 years ago. Through the mentorship and discipleship he received in the Pulse 100 family, Cade was equipped with the knowledge and tools to share Jesus that he didn’t know about prior to the program.

Cade is known and loved in the Pulse 100 community for his spontaneity and adventurous spirit. At the summer retreat, he told his friends in the program that he would just about drive anywhere for them. He told everyone, “even if it’s a crazy ask- ask me, you have my yes”.

Cade’s willingness to serve his friends is a testament to the kind of community found in Pulse 100. Cade left the program changed, and it’s no doubt that his presence in the program changed others too.
